The Health and Well-being Fairs are a partnership created and developed by Providence Row, London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH) Rough Sleeping Team, LBTH Public Health Team, St Mungo’s Tower Hamlets Street Outreach team and Groundswell to encourage clients in LBTH to engage with health and wellbeing services.
The events are an innovative and holistic way of supporting clients who would not normally access mainstream health provision. They take place each quarter at our Day Centre in the heart of East London creating an environment which is fun, engaging and supportive.
Between 15 to 23 services are onsite at once including structured treatments (chest x-rays, TB testing, hearing care, sexual health testing and advice, liver scanning, mental health support, substance use support/needle exchange advice on substance and alcohol use), vaccinations (flu and Covid vaccines), GP registration and health checks, peer lead services as well as massages, haircuts, yoga and mindfulness sessions.
