Baking an Impact | Providence Row

We had a super time hosting a charity tea and cake sale with our clients and staff at our day centre in Aldgate East.

What better excuse to pull together as a group, have a cup of tea whilst raising money for charity?

It was a huge success - an excellent idea conceived by one of our clients and executed so well by everyone working together.

We had so many scrumptious baked goods made and donated. No bake sale would be complete without a selection of the classics: brownies, cupcakes, rice crispy cakes, donuts and Victorian sponge cake.

It really looks like we have a few Bake Off champions in the making at Providence Row. Everything sold out within a couple of hours!

It was a fantastic team building exercise and we all thoroughly enjoyed doing it. It was great to see everyone – both clients and staff - getting so involved.

Ensuring inclusivity, especially when people are experiencing overwhelming loneliness and isolation, is a key part of the work we do.

At Providence Row, we want our clients to take an active role in the life of our day centre. This bake sale was a great example of what we can achieve when we all come together.

Thanks so much to our clients and staff for baking and participating.

There’s really nothing better than raising funds and satisfying tummies at the same time!
