Volunteers’ Week 2019 – saying thank you

Dear friends,

The 1st to 7th June is National Volunteers' Week.

This is an opportunity to highlight the impact volunteers have across the country. There will be celebrations and thanks from many organisations to the millions of people that give their time and their skills to make the world a better place.

At Providence Row we are incredibly fortunate to have hundreds of volunteers who selflessly donate their time, energy and talents throughout the year. A lot of our success is measured by the strength of our partnership with volunteers.

We couldn't carry out the work that we do without them. Volunteers are the backbone of what we do and help us shape our future.

Our volunteers perform a wide range of roles including helping people to improve their English, tending to our community roof garden and greeting people in the welcome area. We are so grateful for their dedication, compassion and generosity.

On behalf of our board, our clients and staff, I would like to say thank you for your unwavering support and generosity.

You have decided to give of yourself in a most precious way, your time.

You make a huge difference every day. Our services would not be possible without the donation of funds and time from our volunteers.

With your support, we will continue to do everything in our power to achieve the ambitions we have set for tackling homelessness.

Thank you for your compassion and your awareness for seeing the need and responding. Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge to help improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of society. But most of all thank you for your kindness, care and love and for being the inspiration that the world needs.

So this coming week, we will be celebrating you and all of our volunteers.
